RAPAPORT... Christie’s Hong Kong spring sale will feature an 8.01-carat,
fancy vivid blue, internally flawless diamond pendant necklace, estimated at
between $18.5 million and $25 million, the auction house said.
The pear-shaped stone, which hangs below a circular-cut, 1.60-carat,
fancy intense pink diamond, was designed by Moussaieff. A 0.35-carat white
diamond is set between the two.
Other notable lots include an oval-shaped, 12.85-carat,
fancy intense orangey-pink, VVS1 diamond ring, surrounded by a double layer of
half-moon and triangular-shaped white diamonds, with a pre-sale estimate of
$5.7 million to $8.3 million.
The Magnificent Jewels event will also feature a jadeite
bead and diamond necklace as well as a lavender jadeite bead necklace, and an
exclusive colored diamond bracelet created by Edmond Chin for the House of
Boghossian.
Christie’s will sell the jewels at a live auction on May 29
at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
