RAPAPORT... Chopard collaborated with ruling rock royalty Madonna to create the diamond “M-dolla” knuckle ring and Happy Diamonds cross, both of which she wears on the cover of her newly released album “Hard Candy.” The one-of-a-kind ring spelling out Madonna’s hip-hop pseudonym was personally designed by Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, co-president of Chopard. The ring features 258 diamonds with the Chopard signature mobile diamond in the flourish of the letter M. Kirk Kara debuted the Artin collection of handmade wedding bands for men. Named for Kirk Kara’s father, also a jewelry designer, the collection is inspired by the masculine elegance of the 1920s. The bands are available in platinum or 18-karat gold, with or without diamonds. The array of styles in the handcrafted collection feature engraving and are available in a variety of satin finishes.

“Fresh as a daisy” is as true today as it was in the 1940s, as Georg Jensen introduces its Daisy Collection of enameled jewelry into the U.S. The Daisy jewelry was created in 1940 to celebrate the birth of Danish Princess Margrethe, who is now queen. The daisy is the national flower of Denmark and the queen’s family nickname. This classic flower, a perennial favorite, is brought to life in fresh and youthful colored enamels, some accented with diamonds, in either silver or 18-karat gold. Georg Jensen describes the “Daisy Girl” as open-minded, well-traveled, with a good sense of humor and an independent sense of fashion.

One bracelet, many looks — The Touch has introduced Changeable Bracelets. Choose from four bangle styles and then select from dozens of medallions that clip on and off, creating different looks for various occasions. Available in 14-karat yellow gold or sterling silver, the medallions come in a variety of themes.

Simple, yet sophisticated, black and white is a timeless color combo. With that in mind, Waldman Diamonds Complete introduced the Arctic Night Collection of black and white diamond jewelry. The inspiration came from the desire to satisfy the industry’s need for a fashionable, yet affordable collection of diamond jewelry.
