RAPAPORT... The Cadi by Trapz™ was developed in the company’s factory in Ramat Gan, Israel, and introduced as part of the group’s spring 2006 collection. It is patented and trademarked around the world.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND CUTTING ISSUESThe Cadi is a trapezoid-shaped side stone that was inspired by the idea of creating a unique trapezoid while adding an extra brilliance and depth to the stone. The majority of the stones are available in D through G colors and VVS through VS clarities. Sizes range from 20 to 75 points. The stones are available with certificates only when requested.
Also, the Cadi, along with all Trapz side stones, is available in consistent sizes to fit the customer’s exact needs.
MARKETS AND MARKETINGAt present, the stones are sold to high-end jewelry manufacturers in the United States. Cadi will be available in the Far East in both mounted and unmounted form. It is advertised in trade magazines such as Rapaport Diamond Report, Idex, Diamond World India and Jewelry News Asia. There is a website, www.trapz.com, where inventory is available for viewing online.
PRICING AND SUPPLY
The price of the Cadi is compatible with market prices of regular trapezoids and half moons. There are no supply issues; the company is affiliated and partnered with a Diamond Trading Company (DTC) sightholder as well as one from Canada. It also maintains an office in Belgium for a constant supply of rough.
WHAT BUYERS SHOULD LOOK FORThe Cadi has a three-dimensional look and complements Asscher, cushion and emerald cut centers. It is available in a consistent supply of sizes and qualities.
