RAPAPORT... Pandora is unveiling a series of charms commemorating  top travel destinations such as London, New York City, Paris, Rome, Barcelona and Berlin. These architectural icons join the company's newly released  Murano glass charms with red, white and blue swirls, which were timed to show support for the Olympic's Team USA. pandora charms

Additionally, in celebration of the Olympics spirit in London, Pandora created a double decker bus with the Union Jack flag emblazoned on top and Big Ben, which  was recently renamed Elizabeth Tower in a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II in her Diamond Jubilee year.

To kick-off its travel city collection, Pandora created the Statue of Liberty charm for New York, an Eiffel Tower for Paris, the Colosseum for Rome, La Sagrada Familia for Barcelona and the Brandenburg Gate for Berlin.

Designers incorporated a heart symbol on each of these new charms, with some placements more obvious than others. The heart appears front and center on the Colosseum and Brandenburg Gate, while it is hidden in the clock face on Big Ben and on the bottom of the Statue of Liberty and Eiffel Tower.

''Our collection already included traditional charms to remember vacations such as a seashell, airplane, suitcase and palm tree, but we wanted to introduce pieces that offered women additional ways to commemorate those special moments spent traveling,''said Angel Ilagan, the vice president of marketing for Pandora North America. ''The national icon charms, which resemble some of the most notable architectural icons in the world, will help women share the story of her travels, her heritage or for some, her home country.''
